The Jr. Championship is a *Major* on the Cape Jr. Golf Tour along
with these other three events:  Jr. Match Play Championship, Jr. Open
Championship, & Jr. Masters.      Together, they are the "Grand Slam"
Note1: This was the first jr. golf tournament organized in Cape May County.
          Because of strong interest during that first year May 2000, the
          Cape May County Jr. Golf Foundation, non-profit 501c3 and
          Cape Jr. Golf Tour were formed.  Through continued success, the
          'Little Cape' and Family Leagues were added.  As the organization
          grew,  it opened its doors to all juniors golfers. 
          Currently, we draw from all counties in New Jersey as well as 
          many other surrounding states.  
         
Note2: To provide a higher level of competiton, in 2003 the
           Junior Golfers' Association of America, non-profit 501c3 and its
           JGA Tour were formed with the first JGA Jr. Championship held 
           in 2005.  These events are nationally ranked two-day events
           by the Junior Golf Scoreboard - the company that nationally ranks
           jr. golfers for all college coaches to see!
