12 total Junior Golfers on
each team:
4 –
Ages 6 to 9 (Par 3’s-135yds or less, Par 4’s-appx. 145 to 200 yds, & Par 5’s
- 250yds +/-)
4 –
Ages 10 to 13 (Red Tees ~ for both
boys and girls)
4 –
Ages 14 to 18 (Regulation lengths ~ Blue
Tees ~ with girls playing 80% of course ~ Gold Tees)
*Ages based on birth-date going into event’s date.

junior golfers qualify for each team:
‘Cape May’ – Best golfers of the
CMCJGF and its Cape Jr. Golf Tour by tournament performance
as
chosen by John Petronis.
‘Lewes’ – Best from the State of Delaware
and Delaware State Golf Association
as chosen
by Rick McCall.
For
Ages 6 to 9, there will be three different three-hole Match Play
formats with points awarded at completion of each six-hole match:
Second
Three – Alternate Shot
Third
Three – Singles Matches
For
Ages 10 to 13 and Ages 14 to 18, there will be three different
six-hole Match Play formats with points awarded at completion of
each six-hole match:
Second
Six – Alternate Shot
Third
Six – Singles Matches
(Two
sets of partners will be selected from each age division – staying partners for
first two matches)
Matches
will be scored by the following point system:
(1)
point for a win (½) of a point for a half
Add
up total points earned by each team and compare to other team to find winner.
The winning team holds cup for the year. In case of a tie, the defending team
retains the cup for the year. In the event of a tie during the first year’s
matches, the host team (Cape May) will retain the cup.
Perfect
point total scenario: 6 Points – 6 two person sides (Four-ball
Matches),
6 Points – 6 two person sides (Four-some Matches),
12 Points – 12 (Singles Matches)
24 Points – Total available points. All
partnering sides/competitors
winning all of their matches over three formats.
USGA Rules of Golf apply to this competition. The so-called ‘One-ball Rule’ is not in effect.
Reminder: Be sure to make a claim before: Teeing from the next tee or walking off the last green.
Ages 6 to 9: May use a pull-cart and parents may carry the competitor’s bags between holes.
Pace of Play:
Groups are required to keep up with the group in front of you. 4h 30m or less.
