William “Chick” Ludman Memorial Scholarship |
|
To download the application, (click here…) Annually, the JGA of America offers a scholarship to a local boy or girl to help assist them with the cost of college (books, etc.) Starting this year thru 2015, the JGA of America’s annual scholarship will be in memory of William “Chick” Ludman.
William "Chick" Ludman was a loving father, husband, and teacher, as well as an outstanding athlete and coach. Chick was a 1971 graduate of Wildwood High School, where he had the unique honor of being named All Conference Cape-Atlantic League in three sports: football, basketball, and baseball. Chick also loved the game of golf and was a member at Wildwood Golf & Country Club. He later went on to teach at Middle Township High School from 1977 to 1986, and coached the Middle Township Varsity Boys Basketball team to their first Cape-Atlantic League title in 1978. Chick lost a long battle with leukemia in May 1988. We appreciate the support that the Ludman Family has given to the JGA of America and the kids of our program over the years!

Heather Petronis is our 2010 JGA of America Scholarship recipient! Besides being a great student and junior golfer on the Cape Jr. Golf Tour and the JGA Tour, Heather is the last of the original junior golfers left who played in the 1st Annual Cape May County Jr. Championship that was held in May of 2000. Heather has definitely played in more of our events than any other junior golfer by far. Heather is a graduate of Mainland Regional HS and is attending St. Leo University just north of Tampa, Florida on a golf & academic scholarship. We wish her the best of luck!
